The ASHgrow Project seeks to raise funds to bring the Master Plan to fruition. While a percentage is pragmatically debt funded, the College is committed to responsible stewardship and is counting on the legendary, quiet generosity of the Marist community to raise a total of $15M over the next five years.
Inaugural Giving Day on Thursday 10 August 2023
We kicked off our ASHgrow fundraising program with our first ever Giving Day on Thursday 10 August 2023.
Thanks to the generosity of the Class of ’66 and Trilby Misso as matching donors, we were able to launch with a x 4 campaign. In other words, every donation on the day was quadrupled from our pledged pool of matching funds.
With an ambitious target of $1M, we were overwhelmed by the generosity of our donors who pushed the total up to $1.3M by the end of the event!
As well as an amazing financial response, we were also thrilled to note the total number of donors was 840. If we assume most donations came from our 1,300 current families, more than 65% of our parent community jumped on board to support the Master Plan.
We are always looking for matching donors so we can put together successful Giving Day campaigns every second year. Let us know if you can help!
Donor recognition
While we understand our community’s commitment to the Marist ideals of humility, simplicity, and modesty, we also know that seeing generosity inspires generosity.
We plan to recognise major donors – with their permission – on an honour board in a high traffic area of the campus (exact location to be determined). Other honour boards may be placed in key locations across the campus. Small plaques may also be used to recognise significant group donations eg the Marist Mothers’ Christmas Lunch, the P&F, Old Boys of the 1960s etc.
Donors will also be acknowledged in Viriliter Age.
